Huddersfield vs Manchester United Preview:
Probable starting lineups:
Lossl, Smith, Zanka, Schindler, Malone, Hogg, Williams, Kachunga, Ince, Van La Parra, Depoitre
De Gea, Valencia, Smalling, Lindelof, Darmian, Herrera, Matic, Young, Mkhitaryan, Martial, Lukaku
Huddersfield are sharing the 11th place on the table with nine points from eight rounds. However, they are just three points from the relegation zone and there is no space for any relaxation. The actual form is far from desired, the newly-promoted side have no win on the last six matches. Even worse, Huddersfield lost the previous two games. Worst of all, the Terriers failed to score a single goal, losing 4:0 from Tottenham and 2:0 from Swansea City. That's a huge problem for the manager David Wagner as his strikers have scored just one goal on the last six matches in the Premier League - Laurent Depoitre against Leicester City. It is clear Huddersfield are in big crisis and the players confidence is low. In addition, Wagner has five injury worries - Kasey Palmer, Michael Hefele and Philip Billing are definitely sidelined, while Stevie Mounie and Colin Quaner are both rated as doubtful.
Manchester United are on the second position with 20 points, two less then the leaders Manchester City. The Red Devils dropped two points at Anfield last weekend playing a goalless draw with Liverpool. Manager Jose Mourinho came under huge criticism for a defensive display at Anfield as United had only 38% ball possession and just one shot on target. Considering these facts, I believe The Special One could make some changes in the approach. Nevertheless, I believe the strong defense will remain in his focus. Manchester United have kept a clean sheet in 9 of their last 10 matches in the Premier League. On Wednesday they managed to beat Benfica with 1:0 in the Champions League. The only goal was scored by Marcus Rashford in the second half. For this match Mourinho will once again miss Paul Pogba, Marouane Fellaini, Michael Carrick and Eric Bailly. Rashford picked up a knee injury against Benfica, but should recover in time for this match.
Huddersfield vs Manchester United Prediction:
I expect a low scoring match at the Kirklees Stadium. Huddersfield have a problem to score and they have just one goal on the last six matches. Manchester United, meanwhile, managed to score just one goal on the last two matches against Liverpool and Benfica. The strikers are out of form in both teams, so I think there will be no more than two goals here.
Huddersfield vs Manchester United Pick: Under 2.5 goals
